Fraud Alert: Recruiting Scams
Scammers sometimes pose as recruiters or employers, including by using the names of real staffing firms, to steal money or personal information from job seekers. Please read the warning signs below and contact us if something doesn't feel right.
KA Staff will never
- Charge job seekers a fee to apply, interview, get placed or receive training.
- Ask you to buy equipment, software or gift cards, or to deposit a check and send money back.
- Ask for your bank account details, Social Security number or ID documents by text message or chat app before a verified offer and onboarding process.
- Conduct an entire interview and make a job offer only through text or messaging apps.
- Ask you to pay for a background check, drug test or credit check.

- Job offers that arrive before any real interview, or pay that seems too good to be true.
- Pressure to act immediately or to keep the conversation secret.
- Poor spelling and grammar, or requests to move the conversation to an unfamiliar app.
